A roofing company built for the wet end of the Gulf
We started because Mobile loses the same roofs in every storm, and homeowners deserve a roofer that inspects before it sells, builds to the FORTIFIED standard whether or not you buy the certificate, and is still here when the next hurricane comes up the bay.

Mobile is Alabama's second-largest city, just over 201,000 people by the Census Bureau's 2024 estimate after the 2023 annexation, and the wettest big city in the country, with the National Weather Service putting its average at just over 66 inches of rain a year. It sits at the end of hurricane alley: Frederic, Elena, Georges, Ivan, Katrina, Nate, Sally, Zeta and now Isaias have all come through, and after every one the same roofs on the same streets have the same damage. It's also the one place in America where the state will pay up to $10,000 to build your roof for wind, and where the insurers are required by law to discount it when you do.
Mobile Roof Works is a locally operated roofing company, not a franchise, a lead-selling call center or a truck that arrives after the storm and leaves before the claim settles. We book and manage residential and commercial roofing across Mobile, Tillmans Corner, Theodore, Semmes, Saraland, Satsuma, Creola, Prichard, Chickasaw, Grand Bay, Bayou La Batre and the Eastern Shore: Daphne, Fairhope and Spanish Fort. The work is done by Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board-licensed, bonded roofers who carry general liability and workers' compensation, and the license and insurance numbers are printed on every contract.
What we stand on
Inspect first, then quote
Every job starts on the roof and in the attic with a camera, not in the driveway with a tailgate number. You get the photos, and when the honest answer is "it's fine, call us in five years," that's the answer you get.
Build it for the next storm
Sealed deck, ring-shank nails, adhered starter, Class H shingles or tested metal, wind-rated vents: every replacement is built to the IBHS FORTIFIED standard. If you want the designation, we schedule the evaluator and help with the grant.
Everything in writing
Alabama law requires written roofing quotes and contracts. Ours are itemized line by line, good for 30 days, with the permit on the invoice and the deductible, when there is one, listed as yours.
Answer the phone
Calls are answered 24 hours a day, including hurricane nights. Water in the house is dispatched first; an estimator calls back the next business morning for everything that isn't an emergency.
